“Energy agency – Plovdiv” and Maritza Newspaper, in partnership with “KCM 2000” JSC, member of the Non-profit association “The Business for Plovdiv” organized a public debate on “Polluted air – threats of the present and future of Plovdiv”on May 30th, 2018. The Non-profit association “The Business for Plovdiv” was represented by the Executive director Mr. Angel Stoev. Experts from the Energy agency – Plovdiv made presentations on subjects, related to the ambient air quality in Plovdiv, main pollutants, trends, energy knowledge and habits, transition to ecological forms of heating and technologies, innovations. Specialists from „EVN Bulgaria TP“, “Citygas” JSC, Dr. Vesselka Hristamyan, representatives of “Schneider Electric” and “Philip Morris Bulgaria” also took part in the discussion. The Editor-in-Chief Russy Chernev and Mrs. Liyana Adjarova, Head of the Energy agency – Plovdiv, were moderators. For several years Maritza Newspaper has been organizing discussions, in relation with the ambient air quality in Plovdiv, held twice a year. This event expresses the increasing social pressure on the local institutions to take measures to improve the ambient air quality in the town.
